Idelica Frozen Paella

When we cook our paellas, we always prepare a few additional portions for our frozen stock.  Once cooked, we prepare portions of a net minimum weight of of 400g, cool, freeze, label and store them.

CHICKEN & CHORIZO PAELLA

A frozen portion of our classic Spanish rice dish which we also know as Paella de Carne. Fresh diced chicken is seared and chorizo is lightly sautéed with our signature saffron infused sofrito and simmered with rice and chicken stock. We use chicken thigh meat and semi-cured chorizo picante imported from Rioja.

SEAFOOD PAELLA

A portion of our classic Spanish rice dish which we also know as Paella de Marisco. A medley of seafood is lightly sautéed with our signature saffron infused sofrito and simmered with rice and fish stock. Typically we use tiger prawns, basa, squid, mussel and clam meat.

Suitable for PESCATARIAN diets.

Allergens: FISH, MOLLUSCS, CRUSTACEANS, CELERY.

VEGETABLE PAELLA

A portion of our classic Spanish rice dish which we also know as Paella de Verduras. A medley of home-grown and Mediterranean vegetables are lightly sautéed with our signature saffron infused sofrito and simmered with rice and vegetable stock.

Suitable for VEGAN diets.

Allergens: none declarable.

Storage Instructions: Store your frozen portion in freezer (-18°C). To defrost, place portion in a refrigerator (4°C) for approx. 12 hours or until fully defrosted. Reheat and consume within 24 hours of defrosting.

Reheating Instructions: Ensure contents are piping hot all the way through before consuming.

• Microwave: Place contents in a microwaveable bowl and loose cover. Heat on full power for approx. 3-4 minutes, stirring halfway through.
• Oven: Replace the container lid with a cover of tin foil and place the portion of paella directly on the middle shelf of oven preheated to 200°C. Heat for approx. 25 mins
• Airfryer: Place contents loosely in a silicone airfryer basket. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C. Place the paella in a single layer in the basket, add a spritz of olive oil, and air fry for about 5-7 minutes, shaking or flipping it halfway through to ensure even heating. 
• Hob: Heat up a little olive oil in a non-stick frying pan (1 tsp. per portion) to medium-high. Add in the paella and gently and evenly disperse contents across a non-stick pan. Leave for 3-4 minutes without stirring until a light golden crust starts to form underneath. Flip over the paella in sections and heat through the other side for another 2-3 minutes. Repeat this action until all the contents are heated through and you’ve achieved a desirable crust.
