In a slight variation on the strictly Spanish theme, I am now stocking a range of infused extra virgin olive oils from an award-winning UK producer that I came across last year at a fair, because they are so good and compliment my other products so beautifully.

Choose from the fresh and herbaceous ‘Basil Infused‘, the sweet and zesty ‘Lemon Infused‘ or a special recipe of spices created especially for Idelica by Mary Stratta, which I call ‘Idelica’s Iberian Infused‘ Extra Virgin Olive Oil in 250ml bottles. The Iberian contains smoked paprika, garlic, rosemary, thyme and cumin. It is deliciously flavoursome with spiciness but not too much heat.

They take great care in sourcing their ingredients – from their garden, from friends and neighbours, and from growers in Sussex, the Isle of Wight and Kent. Dipping with bread, drizzling over pasta, fish and salads or as a base for creating an aromatic marinade.
